ADI 2024 AWARDS: RECOGNISING EXCELLENCE IN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN

The ADI Awards, organised by the Industrial Design Association for the Promotion of Arts and Design (ADI-FAD), are one of the most prestigious accolades in the field of national industrial design. Since 1961, these awards have recognised products and projects that stand out for their innovation, functionality, and aesthetics.

OSSBY GEO AT THE ADI 2024 AWARDS

In the 2024 edition, the Ossby GEO was selected among 164 outstanding products from 350 submissions. This recognition reinforces Ossby’s role as a leader in innovation and sustainable design. The award ceremony took place on 13th June at the Disseny Hub Barcelona, an event that gathered the best designers and companies in the sector.

The competition in the Mobility category was particularly intense this year, with nominees like Cupra, Talgo, and Silence, brands known for their innovation in transport. This context makes our Silver Delta Award even more meaningful.

The founders of Ossby, Caricia and Chad (aka the bosses), attended the gala held in Barcelona alongside the Ànima Design team. The moment when the GEO was announced as the winner was very exciting and special.

THE MOBILITY WINNERS AT THE DELTA ADI AWARDS

The Delta ADI 2024 Awards recognised several outstanding products in the Mobility category, and we are delighted to share the details of these innovative projects with you.

The Golden Delta: Awarded to Stark Varg, designed and manufactured by Stark Future. This high-performance electric motorcycle has revolutionized the sports bike sector. Combining power, durability, and sustainability, Stark Varg offers a superior riding experience. Its ergonomic design and cutting-edge technology make it a market leader in electric motorcycles, standing out for its environmental commitment without sacrificing performance.

Silver Delta: Awarded to the Girbau G38 project, designed by Ramon Girbau Pous and manufactured by Fusteria Nautica Girbau SL. The Girbau G38 is an innovative recreational boat that impresses with its elegant design and focus on sustainability. Made of high-quality materials and advanced construction techniques, this boat offers a smooth and safe sailing experience. Additionally, its modular design allows for complete customization, adapting to the specific needs of each user and providing a unique sailing experience.

Silver Delta: Finally, we are proud that the Ossby GEO has been awarded the Silver Delta. As mentioned earlier, designed in collaboration with Ànima Design, ourfolding electric bike Ossby GEO stands out for its compact and sustainable design. Made from a biocomposite of vegetable oil and recycled fibre from wind turbine blades, this bike is our proposal for an innovative and eco-friendly urban mobility solution.

These awards not only recognise excellence in design but also underscore the importance of promoting sustainability and advanced technology in the mobility sector. Each of these projects reflects a commitment to innovation and a vision towards a more sustainable and efficient future. We are very proud to be in the company of these outstanding winners and to share this recognition at the Delta ADI 2024 Awards.

EXHIBITION AT THE DISSENY HUB BARCELONA: A MUST-SEE EVENT

From 31st May to 25th August, the Ossby GEO will be on display at the Disseny Hub Barcelona as part of the exhibition “ADI 2024 Awards. Industrial Design and Design Culture.” This exhibition is a unique opportunity to discover some of the best products designed and marketed in the past two years.

COLLABORATION WITH ÀNIMA DESIGN: A SHARED SUCCESS

The success of our Ossby GEO would not be possible without the collaboration of Ànima Design. This product design agency has played a crucial role in developing the Ossby GEO, bringing their expertise and creativity to create a bike that meets the highest standards of design and functionality.

Ànima Design collected up to three awards at the ADI 2024 Awards:

a Gold Delta for the artificial placenta Amnioshell; two Silver Deltas for the emergency signalling device Flashled, with a compact design and easy placement on the vehicle roof; and for the Ossby GEO, our folding electric bike that folds in one movement, made from a biocomposite of vegetable oil and recycled fibre from wind turbine blades.
