The new Ossby GEO folding ebike at Eurobike 2023

The Spanish folding bike manufacturer Ossby will be exhibiting (stand D07 in Hall 11.0) at Eurobike 2023. Ossby will officially launch its sustainable Ossby GEO ebike in the European market.

The Spanish folding bike manufacturer Ossby will be exhibiting at Europe’s largest cycling trade fair: Eurobike, which will be held from 21 to 25 June in Frankfurt at stand D07 in Hall 11.0.

This year Ossby will share its stand with Ànima Design, the product design agency with whom they have developed their new folding electric bicycle.

The second edition of Eurobike in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) exceeds the number of exhibitors of the previous year and is expected to be historically full. Although the exhibition space was increased to a total of 150,000 m2, there are no more free spaces left for 2023. This year, 400 new exhibitors have been added, bringing the number of brands present to around 1,700.

Official launch of the Ossby GEO in the European market

Ossby is a Spanish folding bike company that has earned its place in the industry through its commitment to quality, functionality, and design. The young company has become synonymous with unique and practical bikes, and its latest addition, the Ossby GEO, is no exception.

Eurobike is the event chosen by the manufacturer to present its new folding electric bike model Ossby GEO to the international market.

One of the highlights of the GEO is that it is made from bio materials. The frame is made of composite, made from recycled fibreglass and plant-based resins. This innovative material is more sustainable, stronger and lighter than aluminium, making the bike very light, easy to fold, and transport. As with previous Ossby models, the GEO includes their patented folding systems, one of the fastest in the world, taking only one second to fold. In addition, this new version integrates high quality components such as a carbon fibre fork, Bluetooth motor, hydraulic disc brakes, LED rear light with brake sensor and a proprietary app developed by Ossby, among many other improvements.

Ossby and Ànima Design will be at stand D07 in Hall 11.0

The novelty of this year’s Ossby stand is that they will not be alone. They will share the space with the co-designers of the GEO, the award-winning product design agency Ànima Design.

To develop the Ossby GEO, the company collaborated with one of the most awarded product design studios in Spain. Based on Ossby’s original concept and folding system, Ànima Design created a new style for the GEO. Thanks to this joint venture, the two brands decided to present together at Eurobike.

Booth D07, which will be shared by both brands, is a space of 32 m2 and is located in one of the largest halls dedicated to bicycles and eBikes. The stand, in Hall 11.0, is located in a highly visible area near to some of the biggest cycling brands.

For its part, Ossby will dedicate a space on its stand to some of the Spanish companies which it collaborates with in order to highlight the importance of national brands and suppliers in the development of Ossby GEO.

European expansion

Caricia Mondragón, CEO and co-founder of Ossby, explains:

“This is a very important year for Ossby. We have done a complete brand revamp and we are looking forward to showing Europe the great potential of our folding eBikes. The Ossby GEO marks a new era and the feedback we are receiving is very positive. After the success of our pre-sale campaign, we are ready for Eurobike visitors to enjoy our new design.”

Ossby, following signing a distribution agreement with CicleON, the distribution division belonging to Merida Bikes SW, will bring the Ossby GEO to Spain, Portugal, Andorra and France. However, the brand is looking to consolidate its position by securing distributors and partnerships in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Benelux, and beyond.
