“A line whose main objective is to contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions into the atmosphere, mainly those of nitrogen oxides, particulate matter and greenhouse gases, as well as to improve energy efficiency and promote the mobility of low-emission vehicles.”
The requirements are similar to those of last year and, in turn, very similar to the aid plan of the Community of Madrid that are still in force and that we have already explained here in our blog.
In this post we will see all the requirements to request it.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THE HELP OF THE MADRID CITY COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ELECTRIC BIKE

Who is eligible for this aid?
- Any natural person over 18 years of age and resident in the municipality of Madrid on May 17, 2022.

What requirements must the electric bike meet?

- ✅ It has to be an electric bicycle with pedal assist up to 25 km / h, with a maximum power of up to 250 W.
- ✅ Complete light system, fenders and goat’s foot.

Deadlines for submission:
- From May 25 to September 30, 2022.
It is important to note that they are very limited funds and requests will be met until the budget is exhausted in order of presentation. Do not delay in requesting it!

What documentation do I need to submit?
- ✅ Purchase invoice containing brand, model, registration and chassis number. This invoice will be given to you by us or any attached store.
- ✅ Proof of payment.
- ✅ Proof of current account in which the payment of the subsidy is requested. That is, the account number where you want the money to be deposited.
- ✅ Declaration of other aid received or requested for the same vehicle.
- ✅ Within 6 months of checking the eligibility requirements, you will be informed of the granting or refusal of the aid.

Other data to take into account:
- The purchase and payment of the electric bike must be made after the date of publication of the call, that is, from May 17, 2022.
- The subsidized vehicle cannot be transferred to third parties within 2 years.
- Each person can apply for help for a single vehicle.

Are these subsidies compatible with similar aid from other administrations?
- Yes, but in case of accumulation of aid for the purchase of the same vehicle, taking into account that the maximum amount of all as a whole must be less than 75% of the purchase price.
